Get the professional care you need at the JHB Hip & Knee Unit

The JHB Hip & Knee Unit prides itself on being a patient-centric, academically focused centre. We adhere to international best practices in hip and knee arthroplasty surgery. By focusing our expertise on joint replacement surgery, we aim to achieve streamlined, reproducible and reliable results.

Value-based care is at the heart of the practice and, with this in mind, we are affiliated with Care Expert, Joint Care and ICPS. This offers patients affordable surgery, avoiding co-payments for in-hospital care.

The JHB Hip & Knee Unit is based at the Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre in Johannesburg, one of the only private and academic hospitals in South Africa, which combines clinical excellence with private hospital efficiency.
